A Little About Me
My name is Kaitlyn Rauh and I am a bench jeweler and CAD designer by trade. I earned my BFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry at the University of Kansas. Following that, I worked as a contract jewelry designer before spending two years as a Head Designer at a B-Corp company. It was that position that gave me experience as a leader and a project manager. I learned that beyond design, I love working with others as an organizer and creative problem solver.
When designing I find it important to consider accessibility. As a disabled person, I am keenly aware of the barriers my community faces in finding adaptive wearables. I am also aware that accessibility is different for each individual person and project. Whether it is a cost barrier, an adaptive need, inclusive sizing, or something else; it is my goal to understand a project to the fullest and find a solution. It is always an honor to work with others and I encourage you to reach out if you feel I could be a good fit for your project.
If you are interested in my previous work, please see my portfolio page. If you are interested in seeing a work in progress, please see my Adaptive Vintage Project page. Designers never stop learning and I am challenging myself to see if I can alter vintage clothing to be adaptive. If you are interested in learning more, I greatly appreciate you taking the time to check it out!
